Learning Disability / Disorder Evaluations

Evaluations for learning disabilities / learning disorders may include evaluations for specific learning disorders in reading, written expression, and/or mathematics.  In reading and writing, such learning difficulties are often referred to as dyslexia.  In mathematics, such learning difficulties are often referred to as dyscalculia.

A comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation in such cases will help to determine:

  • Whether an individual meets diagnostic criteria for a learning disability / learning disorder

  • How severe any such learning disability / learning disorder may be

  • What may be causing any such learning disability / learning disorder

  • What interventions may be put into place in order to aid with any such learning disability / learning disorder
