Child and Teen Evaluations

Pediatric evaluations are conducted with individuals ages 6 through 17.


Evaluations may include measurement of the following:

  • Overall intellectual functioning
  • Academic achievement (reading, writing, mathematics)
  • Attention and concentration
  • Learning and memory
  • Language functioning
  • Visuospatial functioning
  • Executive functioning
  • Motor functioning
  • Adaptive functioning
  • Personality and emotional functioning


Reasons for evaluation may include, but are not limited to:



​​Full evaluations typically include information gathering, face-to-face testing (anywhere from three to six hours, depending on age and reason for evaluation, among other factors), and time spent reviewing results and recommendations.


Additional “behind the scenes” time includes, but is not limited to, reviewing available records, scoring of tests, interpretation of test results, and report writing.
